The Gift of Education
Transforming young lives through boarding Bursaries.
We know that talent is spread evenly throughout society, while opportunity is not. Working with our partner organisation the Royal National Children’s SpringBoard Foundation (RNCSF), the Gift of Education programme exists to offer the life-changing opportunities of a fully funded Leysian education to pupils from disadvantaged or vulnerable backgrounds.
The Covid-19 crisis further reinforced existing educational attainment gaps. Two years on, many schools are still dealing with the long term impact on child mental health and school attendance. The impetus is stronger than ever – for those of us who can – to help create opportunity for young people who would benefit from the education we provide here at The Leys and to support them in their aspirations for the future.

"It makes me very proud to be an Old Leysian and be part of a community that encourages that idea of giving back."
Paul Dennis (School 2001-2006)
"Whilst joining during the pandemic was a challenging experience, the endless support I received from both staff and the overall community made my time thoroughly enjoyable. It was an absolute honour to be the first RNCSF student to join The Leys and I hope I've opened up opportunities for my fellow SpringBoarders to flourish as I myself did. Wishing the very best for them all."

"Coming to The Leys was a chance to go in different directions. (Coming from Dagenham) I don't think the opportunities I have had would have come to me had I not come here".
