Frequently Asked Questions

What causes can I support?

The Gift of Education or the Community Fund - the choice is yours!  We are particularly focusing on the Gift of Education as that is our campaign for life-changing bursaries right here at The Leys.

How do I make a donation?

Press the 'Make a Gift' button at the top of the page, choose how much you would like to give, and follow the step-by-step process.  You can choose which cause you would like to support when you make your donation, or you can give to both.  Thank you for your generosity!

What are the different donation options?

- One-off gift; click the 'Make a gift' button above.

- Regular gift; a monthly, quarterly or annual donation.  This option is only available for donors with UK bank accounts.  US donors can make a regular gift via the British Universities & Schools Foundation (https://www.bsuf.org/donate).

- If you are interested in leaving a gift in your will, or would like to write a cheque or give another way, please contact the Development Office team at development@theleys.net.

What is The Leys Giving Day?

The Leys Giving Day is an opportunity to celebrate community spirit at the School and to support the Gift of Education. Our first Leys Giving Day was held on 23-24 March 2022.  It's 36 hours so our worldwide community can take part!

What if I already have given to The Leys this year?

Thank you!  The Gift of Education is an ongoing programme to support a child through their education, so your continued support would be invaluable.

Does the school have charitable status?

Yes, the School is a registered charity, no. 1144035.  This means UK taxpayers can mark their donations as eligible for Gift Aid.  Higher and additional rate tax payers can also claim back against their charitable deductions.

Is my payment secure?

Yes.  All payments are processed using a secure online giving form and any contact information collected is GDPR compliant and will only be used by The Leys.  Gifts processed through the website can be kept anonymous if you would rather your name not be displayed on the Donor Wall.

The Leys is also registered with the Fundraising Regulator and adheres to the Code of Fundraising Practice.
